HUSTEP (Hokkaido University Short-Term Exchange Program)

HUSTEP is a ‘junior year abroad’ type program designed to provide undergraduate students from affiliated universities with the opportunity to study in Japan at Hokkaido University. Participants in this program take a wide variety of classes offered in English in the fields of Culture and Society, Environment, Science and Technology. Students also have the chance to study the Japanese language. Course duration: October 2021 – mid August 2021 (11 months)October 2021 – Mid-February, 2021 (5 months)Eligibility:1. 1. Undergraduate student2. 2. Pay tuition fee in home university3. 3. Have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate study 4. 4. GPA 3-45. 5. English proficiency test score: minimum TOEFL iBT 79 or IETLS 6.5Have a chance to join the JASSO scholarship selection process (monthly stipend of 80,000 yen)
Special Audit Student (SAS) -for undergraduate student

Half year or full year programs in which students are assigned to a particular faculty and take classes related to their specialized area together with full-time students.
