International Students Admission

UNMER International Undergraduate and Postgraduate Program is an educational program that requires students to be active in various global academic activities.  In addition, Undergraduate International Program is part of UNMER’s efforts to serve International Students to seek admission into regular (taught in Indonesian) or international (taught in English) study programs in Universitas Merdeka Malang (UNMER). Admission of international students into the study programs in UNMER is subject to program availability, admission eligibility, and the approval by Immigration regulations.

Eligibility for Admission

  1. Candidates are foreign students not from Indonesia as proven by their passports.
  2. Candidates must demonstrate good academic competence as evidenced by academic achievement. International applicants can apply online to UNMER by completing the online application form and submitting a set of required documents.
  3. The eligibility for admission is based on a desk evaluation conducted by the UNMER admissions committee on the academic achievement of candidates.
  4. International applicants must meet academic and language requirements and commit to comply with the Indonesian government’s specific regulations regarding education policies in order to enroll at UNMER.
  5. Applicants must have English language skills demonstrated by IELTS, TOEFL, and Duolingo certificates that are valid for no more than 2 years from the test date.

 Undergraduate Program Admission

Admission to an undergraduate program requires good academic performance in high school or college.

Postgraduate Program Admission

  1. Admission to a Master’s Program requires good honors for a Bachelor’s (undergraduate) degree or equivalent in the subject or related discipline.
  2. Admission to a Doctoral Program requires an excellent record for a Master’s degree and capability in conducting academic research.

Admission Period

Undergraduate and Postgraduate: February – September

Documents That Should be Prepared to Apply Online

  1. Photo with Red Background
  2. Evidence of English Proficiency Certificate (IELTS, TOEFL, and Duolingo certificates that are valid for no more than 2 years from the test date) or Certificate of Indonesian language course(s) (if any)
  3. Academic Transcipt.
  4. High School Certificate/Diploma Certificate (Undergraduate Program) and Bachelor’s Degree Certificate/Master’s Degree Certificate (Postgraduate Program)
  5. Copy of passport
